Satellite symposium
Oral Modified Release – From Polymer to Drug Delivery System
The Pharmaceutical Technologists’ Section of the Slovenian Pharmaceutical Society is organizing the Satellite Symposium as an accompanying professional and scientific event of the 4th BBBB Conference. The aim of the symposium is to present an overview and the latest achievements in the field of oral modified release (MR) of active pharmaceutical ingredients. The program of the symposium will include eight lectures given by the experts in the field. Different aspects of modified release will be presented, starting from the basic knowledge of the functional polymers and new trends in development of oral MR drug delivery systems, continuing with the analytical methods and methods of process and formulation optimization, and finally evaluation of MR drug delivery systems in vitro and in vivo.
Who should attend
Professionals from all fields involved in the whole spectrum of oral MR drug delivery systems development activities – from preformulation studies to pharmacokinetic and clinical evaluations. The program will provide basic knowledge to young researchers who are starting their career in development of oral drug delivery systems and will also serve as a knowledge update to all senior experts in the field.
